Hydro excavating, also known as hydrovacing, is a process that uses pressurized water and an industrial-strength vacuum to simultaneously excavate and remove soil.

This process has multiple advantages over traditional excavation in a variety of applications. For example, it is extremely precise, has virtually no risk of damaging underground utilities or structures, and does not disturb any soil around the immediate dig site. Furthermore, it can be used on frozen ground to prevent damages to other equipment and can even be performed in tight or remote areas that are inaccessible to other machinery. Lastly, it requires less backfill, restoration, and labor than typically required, resulting in a safer, affordable, and far more efficient alternative to traditional excavation methods.
